In celebration and gratitude of their service to the Fort Worth community and for 25 years supporting and protecting Texas Motor Speedway, a select group of Fort Worth first-responders are being recognized as all-stars during the NASCAR All-Star Race, Sunday, June 13. The members of the Fort Worth Police and Fire Departments were nominated by both the public and their peers, are considered the best of the best in their departments, and will be honored as such. Each officer will escort a NASCAR all-star during Sunday’s pre-race festivities and have his/her name displayed on a special decal on their counterpart’s All-Star Race ride.
