FORT WORTH, Texas (Jan. 28, 2025) -- Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas is proud to announce that it will host seven fundraising events as well as its end-of-year grant ceremony in 2025 and will be guided by a streamlined board of trustees.

Cornerstones of the schedule will be the April 5 Laps for Charity at Texas Motor Speedway, the May 1 Bill Walker Memorial Golf Tournament during the NASCAR tripleheader race week in early May and the Labonte Brothers Clay Shoot in late October. Last year’s successful Geared for Greatness at The Rayleigh Underground in Irving returns for a second year in mid-September and the long-standing Tony Stewart Smoke Show, reimagined as a charity bowling tournament, retains its early October date on the calendar.

Returning to the calendar for the first time since 2019 is the Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame Luncheon, which will take place May 2 in The Grand Ballroom of The Speedway Club at Texas Motor Speedway. This year’s inductee will join an exclusive list of legendary racing heroes like A.J. Foyt, Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., to name just a few.

“Race fans and donors will be thrilled to see the return of old traditions like the Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame Luncheon, a continuation of favorites like Laps for Charity and Labonte Brothers Clay Shoot, and new concepts like Geared for Greatness all returning to the Speedway Children’s Charities calendar,” said Speedway Children’s Charities – Texas Chapter Executive Director Marissa Chaney. “The diversity of our fundraising calendar has something for everyone as we continue to focus on making a positive impact on the kids in our community with the most critical needs.”

Additional Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas activities during the May 2-4 NASCAR tripleheader weekend will include a live auction, 50/50 rallies as well as the opportunity to purchase racing collectibles at The Legacy Shop.
